28/07/2010 - Jumar Shortlisted for Two IRP Awards

Jumar Solutions Limited, a leading provider of specialist IT recruitment, modernisation and migration solutions, is delighted to announce that two of its staff have been shortlisted for separate awards at the 2010 Institute of Recruitment Professionals (IRP) Awards.

Managing director, Wendy Merricks is a finalist in the category of 'Best Contribution to the Community', for her work with the charity Starfish which she helped establish. The judges will be looking for an individual who has used his or her professional recruitment skills and experience to benefit the local community. Through Starfish, Wendy offers support to students, in years 10 and 11, who may struggle to achieve academic qualifications before they leave full time education. The charity coaches them to become successful in their chosen career, or gives advice on how to run their business.

Senior account manager, Rebecca Goodfellow has been shortlisted for the category of 'Best Client and Candidate Experience of the Year'. This award is aimed at recruitment professionals who can demonstrate their ability to balance the ever increasing expectations of their clients while providing excellent candidate management. Over her fifteen years in the recruitment industry Rebecca has consistently impressed both her clients and candidates by regularly exceeding their expectations. Her strengths lie in building strong relationships with her clients to get under the skin of their organisation so that she has the in-depth understanding to put forward exactly the right person to meet their resourcing needs. In her dealings with her candidates, one client comments," It is testament to the service she delivers to candidates, that they speak very highly of their dealings with her, which contrasts sharply with how other contractors talk about their agents."
