“I have been so impressed with the excellent communication and one to one relationship approach that Jumar uses that I would have no hesitation in approaching them again should I be in a similar position.”

Component Based Development (CBD) with CA Gen (2 days)This course is intended for developers who know how to use the CA Gen toolset and need to know how to use it for Component Based Development (CBD). The course is structured in the same way as the CBD Overview course, but with more detail on the practicalities of using Gen for CBD. As with the Overview course, the first part of the course explains the origins, key features and benefits of CBD. It then moves on to introduce component architectures, different architecture patterns and their importance in making CBD successful. The second part of the course explains how CBD is implemented in practice starting with introducing the component and interface related objects in Gen and the CS/3 standard. The course then covers the practical aspects of CBD using Gen, taking developers through practical exercises to specify a component, develop the implementation and then consume the component. The current course material is based on version 7.6 of CA Gen, but prior versions are also available if required. The agenda is as follows:
Who should attend:The course is aimed at Gen developers comfortable with the CA Gen toolset who aim to gain an understanding the practice of developing components with Gen to the current standards. Pre requisite Knowledge:Students should be comfortable developing applications with CA Gen.
